Authorities conducted an eviction drive today from morning on the outskirts of Guwahati at Jorabat and its surrounding areas.
The eviction drive was conducted at the government land near the National Highway No 37 to remove all the illegal structures that had come up there.
Most of these structures included shops or other such small commercial establishments that had come up on the land in concern.
The eviction drive was conducted under the supervision of the Sonapur circle officer and continued throughout the rest of the day.
