An earthquake of magnitude 3.8 on the Richter scale was recorded in Arunachal Pradesh’s East Kameng on Sunday morning, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) informed.
According to the NCS, the tremors were felt at 10:05 am. The depth of the quake was recorded at 10 km.
Taking to X, the official account of National Centre for Seismology wrote, “EQ of M: 3.8, On: 09/06/2024 10:05:08 IST, Lat: 27.58 N, Long: 93.20 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh.”

However, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties.

Earlier, on May 8, the north-eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh was hit by a 3.1 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale.
The quake was felt in the Lower Subansiri region of Arunachal Pradesh at 4:55 am.
