In a major development, Dwipen Boro has been elected as the new president of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) at a special convention in Tamulpur on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Islari has been chosen as the new ABSU general secretary. Outgoing ABSU president Pramod Boro, who was a signatory of the historic Bodo Accord was accorded an emotional farewell.
It may be mentioned, that the ABSU is holding a two-day special convention in Tamulpur for public deliberations on the implementation of the Bodo Accord that began on yesterday.
