Durand Cup 2023: Stage all set mega football extravaganza

The historic Durand Cup football tournament is returning to Guwahati for the second year, while Kokrajhar joins in as a new host city.
Guwahati and Kokrajhar, two cities in Assam, are brimming with excitement as they prepare to host the historic Durand Cup football tournament. Asia’s oldest football tournament, the Durand Cup, is set to kick off on August 3 in Kolkata, with Kokrajhar hosting nine matches, including one quarterfinal match. Matches in Kokrajhar will start on August 5 at SAI Stadium with a spectacular opening ceremony wherein, for the first time in the history of Kokrajhar, special events like a fly past by Air Force aircraft, Sky diving, and martial arts by the Indian Army will be organised.
