10 Arrested in Kangpokpi District for Drug Trafficking and Illegal Poppy Cultivation

During the operation, police seized 174 soap cases containing suspected brown sugar and recovered a four-wheeler from their possession.
In a major crackdown on drug-related crimes, Manipur Police have arrested ten individuals in two separate cases involving drug trafficking and illegal poppy cultivation in Kangpokpi district.
Six drug traffickers were apprehended in connection with a case registered at Kangpokpi Police Station. The arrested individuals have been identified as Khaikahao Kipgen alias John, Letgoumang Touthang alias Amon, Aabi Baral, Jitten Kharka, L. H. Ranirou, and Leah Chao.
During the operation, police seized 174 soap cases containing suspected brown sugar and recovered a four-wheeler from their possession.
In a separate operation, the police arrested four individuals for their involvement in illegal poppy cultivation at Songjang village, located along IT Road under Kangpokpi Police Station. The arrested persons have been identified as Janggoulen Kipgen, Letginlal Kipgen, Kamginlen Kipgen, and Thangminlen Kipgen.
All ten accused have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further legal action.
