The daughter of a Beedi worker, who lost her father when she was six and a half years old, used YouTube videos to pass her NEET exam and secure an MBBS seat.
Harika, who grew up in a small village in Telangana’s Nizamabad district, faced a lot of financial difficulties after losing her father when she was six-and-a-half years old. Her mother’s hard work and her own efforts, combined with some invaluable assistance from YouTube videos, resulted in her passing the NEET exam.
Harika has been accepted into the Siddipet Government Medical College after passing the NEET UG entrance exam 2022. In this year’s National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET), she received a national ranking of 40,958 and a state ranking of 703.
Harika’s joy knows no bounds as she pursues her dream of becoming a doctor. Harika’s childhood dream has been to become a Doctor. At first she appeared for NEET UG entrance examination in 2020. Harika score was low for a government medical college admission.

After that, she again reappeared in 2021 but still got a low score. Then, she borrowed a mobile from her cousin and started preparing by watching YouTube videos. Harika prepared for physics, chemistry and biology using YouTube.
Interestingly, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s daughter, Kavitha Kalvakuntla, has promised to financially support Harika during her MBBS studies. Kavitha Kalvakuntla is a Legislative Council (MLC) member from Kamareddy and Nizamabad.
Kavitha, a former MP, met with Harika and her mother and expressed her support for her dreams by handing over the first instalment of her fee.
“Dare to dream and then never stop working until you achieve them. This is the story of Harika, who passed and excelled in the MBBS exams via YouTube videos. I met her and her mother and extended my support towards her dreams by handing over the first instalment of her fees.” tweets Kavita
