Tathagata Roy, now Meghalaya Governor, is known for creating controversies. This time he has asked people to boycott everything Kashmiri.
This comes in response to the brutal Pulwama terror attack on February 14 where 40 Central Reserve Police Force jawans were martyred.
The governor endorsed a tweet by a retired army officer, that said
Don’t visit Kashmir, don’t go to Amarnath for the next two years. Don’t buy articles from Kashmir Emporia or Kashmiri tradesman who come every winter. Boycott everything Kashmiri. I am inclined to agree.
The call comes at a time when Kashmiri students and professionals in many states were reportedly being subjected to verbal or physical attacks following the Pulwama terror attack.
Roy, a former BJP leader, is known for stoking controversy on social media.
