However, in some respite for the people, electricity has restored in several areas of the district, barring Jatinga and Maibong. BSNL services are also expected to be restored by today evening. Additionally, essential items including food and medicines have also been airdropped in the district. Notably, Assam Disaster Management Minister Jogen Mohan will be visiting Dima Hasao today along with Bimal Bora, as per the directions of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
