Dima Hasao: 2nd edition of football tournament drew to close

Dilam Raji Haingarao XI were adjudged as the champions while Harangajao Haingarao FC were declared as the runners up.
The second edition of the Haingarao Football Tournament drew to a close on Wednesday in Assam’s Dima Hasao district with the culmination of the final match between Harangajao Haingarao FC and Dilam Raji Haingarao XI.
The football tournament was organised by the Diyung Sgau Youth club at Wapu on August 7. As many as 12 teams from various parts of Dima Hasao took part in the tournament.
Dilam Raji Haingarao XI were adjudged as the champions while Harangajao Haingarao FC were declared as the runners up.
The tournament was witnessed by Executive Member Bijit Langthasa as the Chief guest while EM, Nipo Hojai, and representatives from DSU, ADSU, and JNH attended as guests of honor.
Talking to the media Subro Kemprai, President, Diyung Sgau Youth club said that the aim of the tournament was to encourage football lovers above 33 years of age to come forward and compete and thus keep the spirit of football alive.
