The body of missing circle officer Sanju Das has been recovered after over 72 hours of relentless search operations. As per inputs, the body was floating at a distance of 1 kilometre from the accident site.
Sanju Das was among the 29 passengers onboard the ill-fated country boat that capsized on Thursday.
While 28 others were rescued, Sanju Das has now become the lone casualty in the incident.

It may be mentioned here that Sanju Das was a resident of Irongmara in Silchar. A pall of gloom has now fallen at Sanju’s home.
Notably, a boat carrying 29 passengers capsized in the Brahmaputra on September 29.
The incident took place after the boat lost control due to the strong currents of the river.
Following the incident, relentless search and rescue operations were conducted by the SDRF to trace the missing persons.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
