DGP meeting Muslim orgs a welcome step: AIUDF Supremo Ajmal

AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal has welcomed the Assam DGP’s recent initiative wherein he met representatives of Muslim groups and discussed the issue of madrassa eviction and other related issues.

Speaking to the media, Ajmal said that DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta’s initiative to speak with Muslim organizations is a welcome move in ensuring peace and development in the state.

He added that such a step would streamline the overall functioning of madrassas and also help identify any suspected radical elements.

The Himanta Biswa Sarma Bandwagon today rolled into Kokrajhar as part of his government’s mega outreach program in the districts of the state.

Post the crucial cabinet meeting CM Sarma made some big announcements both for BTR and the state.

From sanctioning road projects worth Rs 500 under the Chief Minister’s Goodwill project to the provincialization of 10 colleges in BTR and extending Bodo medium till class 12, CM Sarma made a slew of announcements.
