Daljit Singh Chawdhary, Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), visited Churachandpur, to review the security situation and operational preparedness of BSF forces amid crisis in the State. During the visit, DG Chawdhary assessed various BSF deployments, interacting with personnel and applauding their efforts to maintain peace in the state.
Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General (Eastern Command), briefed the DG on the current security scenario, followed by discussions with senior officers from the BSF’s Manipur and Mizoram Frontier and Sector CI (Operations) in Manipur.
DG Chawdhary on Sunday visited BSF deployment locations in Sugnu, Kakching district, where he appreciated the troops’ commitment to ensuring security. He later traveled to the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) in Churachandpur, where he inaugurated the Narendra Kumar Training Shed, dedicated to a fallen soldier.
Addressing 750 trainees in a Sainik Sammelan, he encouraged them to excel both as soldiers and responsible citizens.
