As many as 200 people in 6 villages in Meghalaya’s East Khasi Hills district have been hit by a devastating storm. Around 62 houses have been damaged. There are also reports of heavy rainfall from several other parts of the state. In the wake of the situation, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has asked the respective district administrations to provide immediate relief.
