Chief Minister Tamang met His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in New Delhi on Thursday

The Dalai Lama will pay a visit to Sikkim on October this year, informed Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang through a tweet.

CM Tamang on Thursday, April 20 met His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in New Delhi and extended an invitation to the Tibetan spiritual leader to visit the Himalayan state and grace the people of Sikkim with his valuable presence.

Meanwhile, the spiritual leader was kind enough to accept the invitation and has consented to visit Sikkim during October this year.

During the meet, Chief Minister Tamang sought his blessings on behalf of the Sikkimese people.

The Chief Minister said that he is blessed and honoured to meet the spiritual leader.

It may be mentioned here that CM Prem Singh Tamang met the 14th Dalai Lama in the backdrop of the ongoing controversy over a purported video of Dalai Lama kissing a boy on his lips and asking him to suck his tongue.
