Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang slammed the opposition Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) on allegations of deterioration of law and order situation in the state and stated that there were numerous heinous crime patronages by the then SDF government where many people have lost their lives.
The Chief Minister added after the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) led government came into power nearly three years ago, the crime rate in the state has been reduced by a record margin of 33 percent.
The Chief Minister was addressing a public function in his home constituency where he was honoured by Government employees and pensioners of Soreng-Chakung constituency.

Citing various instances of law and order situations in the state, Chief Minister PS Tamang said that the present government will not let off any criminals, sending a clear signal to criminals wanting political shelter.
The Chief Minister further added, after the SKM led government came into power nearly three years ago, the crime rate in the state has been reduced by a record margin of 33 percent.
