Based on inputs about infiltration from the Asharambari village, a team of police led by Ripon Uchoi, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Baijalbari Police outpost conducted a check yesterday.

During the check, the team arrested the infiltrators and recovered several identity cards and currency notes from both Bangladesh and India from their possession.

They were travelling to Moharipur in the Santir Bazaar subdivision of South Tripura district.

A case has been registered against them at the Khowai Police Station under the Foreigners Act and the Passport Act.
