COVID-19 recoveries cross 1 lakh mark in Assam

COVID-19 recoveries crossed 1 lakh mark in Assam with the discharge of 2,166 patients on Tuesday.

So far, total 1,01,239 patients have recovered from the infection in the state.

“With 2166 discharge today, we have crossed 1 Lakh recovered patients. We bow down to efforts of medical team. With this spirit, we shall win over #COVID19,” Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted on Tuesday.

Assam on Tuesday recorded 2,579 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall tally in the state to 1,30,823. The active cases stands at 29,203.

Meanwhile, 8 more people succumbed to the infection on Tuesday.
