The number of COVID-19 cases in Assam surpassed the 1000-mark after 89 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in the state on Friday.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “89 new cases of #COVID19+ 30 Kamrup, 17 Tinsukia, 14 Guwahati, 14 Dhubri, 10 Cachar, 4 Dhemaji.’

(Total cases 1024, Recovered 125, Active cases 892, Deaths 04)
With 892 active cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has now reached 1024.
