Coronavirus: All commercial establishments in Assam to remain closed on March 23

The Assam Chamber of Commerce (ACC) has asked commercial establishments to remain closed on Monday, the March 23rd in the wake of the Coronavirus threat.

In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘janta curfew’ on Sunday, the Assam Chamber of Commerce has decided to observe ‘vyapar bandh’ on Monday.

Besides commercial establishments, the ACC has also appealed public transport services not to ply for the day.

Chairman Rupam Goswami has also urged commercial establishments not to hike prices in the wake of the current situation.

Goswami has requested all business stores/ premises to remain closed from 6 AM to 9 PM on March 23.
