With the condition of the national highway connecting Meghalaya with Barak valley in Assam in a dilapidated state, hundreds of vehicles are using the Dima Hasao route through NH 54
With the condition of the national highway connecting Meghalaya with Barak valley in Assam in a dilapidated state, hundreds of vehicles are using the Dima Hasao route through NH 54 E and NH 27. Since the stretch between Jatinga and Harangajao in Dima Hasao is under construction, vehicles have to proceed with extreme caution while crossing this stretch. In such a situation, hundreds of vehicles have to remain stranded for hours due to the ongoing construction work on the road.
