Congress President Kharge, Rahul Gandhi Meets Party Leaders from Manipur in New Delhi

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, held a meeting today in New Delhi with the Manipur Congress leadership about the present situation of Manipur.
The meeting was attended by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Keisham Meghachandra, CLP leader and former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, Deputy CLP leader K. Ranjit, Lok Sabha MPs Dr. Bimol Akoijam, Alfred Kangam Arthur, senior leader TN Haokip, Manga Vaiphei, CWC member Gaikhangam and other Congress leaders representing various communities of Manipur.
Taking to X, AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal wrote, “Manipur has been under the grip of a devastating civil war for the last 2 years. It requires a political solution to bring back normalcy at the earliest.”
According to sources, the leaders held detailed discussions on the current situation in Manipur, which has been under President’s Rule since February. The deliberations also focused on issues of governance, law and order, and the way forward for restoring peace and normalcy in the state.
