CMs of Meghalaya, Arunachal Discuss Regional Cooperation To Foster Development and Growth in Northeast

CM Conrad Sangma was in Itanagar to attend a felicitation ceremony of 5 newly elected NPP MLAs who extended their support to the Pema Khandu-led BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh

In a significant effort towards fostering growth and development in the Northeastern region, National People’s Party (NPP) chief and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today met his Arunachal Pradesh counterpart, Pema Khandu at the latter’s residence in Itanagar on Saturday.

During the meeting, the leaders discussed various issues concerning cooperation and collaboration.

Taking to X, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said, “Called on Hon’ble Arunachal Chief Minister @PemaKhanduBJP ji during my visit to Itanagar today. Had the privilege to discuss on issues concerning cooperation and collaboration for fostering growth and development in North East region.”

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma was in Itanagar to attend a felicitation ceremony of 5 newly elected NPP MLAs who extended their support to the Pema Khandu-led BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh recently.

NPP is already an ally of BJP in the northeast under the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).

The NPP has won the 5 seats of Tawang, Liromoba, Pasighat East, Mariyang and Longding Pumao.
