Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has sent out a stern warning to all drug peddlers. Either surrender or face the consequences. This warning from the Manipur Chief Minister came in after Imphal East Police seized a large quantity of contraband.
A team of Imphal East Police led by SP Pradip seized over 67 thousand tablets of SP capsules, 350 WY tablets, 115 N10 tablets and 135 grams of heroin and also arrested a drug dealer identified as Mujibur on Thursday. The seized drugs is being estimated to be of Rs 2 crores in the local and of Rs 9 crores in the international market.
Speaking to media today during the display of the seized drugs, CM N Biren Singh stated that he has launched a war on drugs immediately after assuming power in the state. The Manipur CM further said that it is the question of the survival of Manipur’s youth and it has adversely affected many lives.
