Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has issued strict orders to all the SP’s of the districts to keep a close check on crime against women.

Adding to this, the chief minister has also direceted the SP’s to file chargesheets at the earliest in connection with crime against women to ensure justice to the victims.

The Chief Minister’s directive comes following the series of rapes and murders of women and also minors in the past few days.

Besides, Chief Minister Sonowal on Wednesday also reviewed the law and order scenario of the state via video conferencing with all the SP’s of the districts.
