Churachandpur Mourns: Funeral Held for 9-Year-Old IDP Girl Suspected of Rape and Murder
In a sombre occasion, the body of the 9 year old IDP girl, who is suspected to have been raped and murdered near a relief camp in Churachandpur, was buried today at the Zomi Youth Association cemetery. A funeral program was conducted at Lanva TD Block Relief Camp before the burial. During the ceremony, friends and classmates bid their final adieu and offered floral tributes. Under the guidance of their headmistress the students sang farewell and wrapped the body in traditional shawls.
