Tragic chopper crash in Uttarakhand. Chopper carrying pilgrims back from Kedarnath collides with hill. 7 on board dead in one of the worst disasters.

In a tragic incident, a helicopter carrying Kedarnath pilgrims crashed into a mountain due to low visibility in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district.

All 7 onboard including the pilot lost their lives in the crash.

The chopper was travelling back from Kedarnath when it crashed near Garud Chatti just a few minutes after it took off.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya M Scindia expressed their condolences.

“Anguished by the helicopter crash in Uttarakhand. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with the bereaved families: PM @narendramodi,” said the PMO on Twitter.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami informed that an order has been issued for the detailed inquiry into the incident.
