People in Charaideo district of Assam have served a 72-hour deadline to the government to arrest the armed miscreants guilty of raping an 18-year-old girl in Mazhi village in the district.
The protesters have threatened to shut down all tea gardens in the district and intensify the protest if the police fail to nab the culprits within the ultimatum served.
There are around 65 tea gardens in Charaideo. Meanwhile, additional Deputy Commissioner of Charaideo who met the protesters at the protest site assured that police will arrest the culprit within 2 days.
