Trouble has escalated for former Assam Public Service Commission chairman Rakesh Pal as the Central Bureau of Investigation has begun probe into the disproportionate assets case.

Sleuths of the apex investigating agency also took over documents regarding the case from the Dibrugarh police. Besides the CBI also collected information from APSC cash-for-job scam investigating official Surjit Singh Panesar.

Pal is very likely to be interrogated by the CBI very soon in connection with the case.
