The candlelight vigil was organized at the office complex of the Hill Tribal Council in Moreh and the protesters also observed 2 minutes silence in solidarity with the protesters in Myanmar.

Since the military took over in Myanmar, there have been violent clashes across the country. Several protesters have lost their lives and scores have been injured in the worst military crackdown against it’s own civilians.

As violence continues to intensify in the country with the military using deadly violence against anti-coup protesters, over 200 people have been killed since the takeover on February 1.
