Campaigning for the second phase of Lok Sabha has soared high in the Northeast as political parties are making last ditch efforts to woo the last voter.

Seven parliamentary seats in the region are all set to go for the elections slated for April 18.

The 5 seats in Assam going to polls are Silchar, Karimganj, Autonomous District, Nagaon and Mangaldoi.

On the other hand, Tripura East and Inner Manipur are also going to the second phase of parliamentary elections.

Meanwhile, BJP National General Secretary and Northeast in-charge Ram Madhav arrived in Tripura on Sunday to campaign for the party’s East Tripura candidate Rebati Mohan Das at Kailashar in Unakoti district.

While drumming up support for Rebati Mohan, the BJP National General Secretary exuded confidence that the BJP will retain power at the Centre owing to exemplary work done in the party’s last 5 years in power.

Ram Madhav also made a scathing attack on the Congress for allegedly getting involved in corruption activities.

He said that the opposition does not wants Narendra Modi and the BJP to retain power as it has been deprived of the black money it was earning earlier during their rule.

Madhav also highlighted various schemes undertaken by the Modi-Government in the last 5 years.
