Union Minister Kiren Rijiju was sworn-in as Cabinet Minister on Wednesday. He is being promoted in the new Modi Cabinet.
The Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal West was serving as Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports and Ayush and Minister of State, Minority Affairs.
Rijiju was administered the oath by President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inducted some new faces in his cabinet. while there may be a change of portfolios for some.
The cabinet reshuffle is taking place after around a month-long deliberations which saw PM Modi hold meetings with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President JP Nadda in the national capital.
