The polling for this year’s Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections in Bodoland Territorial Region will be conducted following all COVID-19 protocols.
For the first time, the administration has made arrangements of COVID-19 prevention kits along with ballot boxes.
The presiding and polling officers have been asked to ensure COVID-19 safety measures at the polling booths. The voters will have to wear masks to enter the booths. On the other hand, the Asha-karmi workers will check the body temperature of each voter coming to the polling station.
All polling stations will be provided with sanitizer, hand washing water, soap etc.
For the polling and presiding officers, the authorities are providing face shields, masks, sanitizers and hand gloves.
Observance of COVID-19 protocols has been made mandatory for both the voters and polling officials.
