A second death due to COVID-19 has been reported in Assam on Thursday.

According to reports, the deceased is a 16-year-old girl who was suffering from cancer.

The girl is among the 4 new COVID-19 cases detected in Guwahati today. Her swab was tested positive for the deadly virus after her death.

On Thursday, 8 more people tested positive for Covid-19 in Assam, taking the total number of cases in the state to 53.
