Border talks with Assam going in positive direction: Meghalaya CM

Chief Minister Sangma's comments after both states kicked off the second round of talks recently when he met his Assam counterpart in Dispur.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has said that the border talks with Assam are going in a positive direction and that he is hopeful a proper solution will be achieved soon enough.

Chief Minister Sangma’s comments after both states kicked off the second round of talks recently when he met his Assam counterpart in Dispur.

Talking about the border talks, CM Sangma said that the second round has begun after the successful conclusion of the first round of talks and that both sides are pushing for achieving a proper solution to the issue.

He also said that it is high time that the matter is resolved and the Union Home Ministry is also supporting both the state governments in this endeavour.
