Books, school uniforms all turned into ashes…Students of Manipur share their tales of pain

Amid the prevailing unrest in Manipur, the education of thousands of students has been cast into uncertainty.

Talking to Northeast Live, many of the students putting up at Relief Camps said that their books, school uniforms have all been burnt down. The students expressed their desire and eagerness to go back to school and complete their education, which they said is not possible now given the prevailing circumstances. Most of these are students of classes 6 to 10 whose lives have been thrown out of gear and a shadow of doubt looms large over their future.
