A blast suspected to be a hand grenade took place at around 5:10 am at Vishal Mega Mart in Manipur.

The shopping complex located in Imphal West District is just 200 meters away from the Manipur State Assembly.

According to a senior staff of the mall, no one was injured as the staff usually arrives by 7 am.

However, as an impact of the blast, four window planks located on the first, second and third floor of the 4 storey building has been destroyed completely.

The police arrived at the site after 2 hours of the incident for investigation.
