BJP steps up campaign for BTR elections

The BJP is going all out in its campaign for the Bodo Territorial Region elections to be held in December. State health and finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is leading from the front in this regard.

Briefing newspersons, the BJP strongman said that his party will go solo in the elections. Sarma added that his party is focussing and making every effort for storming into power in the Bodo heartland.

Talking on the issue of alliance with the BPF, Sarma said that the BJP has made no decision in this regard.

Significantly without naming anyone, the NEDA convenor added that many BPF MLAs and MPs are in close contact with the BJP leadership, however, Sarma maintained that he is not aware of the fact if anyone of the BPF MLA or MP would join the BJP.
