BJP MLA from Assam’s Hojai Siladitya Deb has again created controversy with a statement regarding the NRC updation process.
Deb has said that names of several genuine Indian citizens could not be included into the final draft of the NRC that came out on July 30 because of data operators who had been appointed during the previous Congress led government in Assam.
He said that names of genuine Indians were deliberately kept out by such people. The MLA also asserted that he has proof regarding this.
