BJP is here to stay in the Northeast, says Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

Speaking on the prevailing political situation in the Northeast, Assam Chief Minister and Northeast Democratic Alliance Convenor(NEDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma said that as per his assessment all the existing governments in all the NE states. Sarma also exuded confidence that the BJP will form a government on its own in Manipur, which is going to polls early this year.
He was interacting with the senior journalists and editors at Koinadhora State Guest House in Guwahati on January 1.
Chief Minister Sarma added that although the BJP is in coalition in Manipur, this time there will be a proper BJP government in the state. In Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram, everyone will see a stronger NDA as well as a stronger BJP and there will be a repetition of the 2018 polls in Tripura. Sarma said that BJP is going to stay in the Northeast after the upcoming batch of elections.
