BJP instrumental in lifting blockade culture from Manipur: Himanta Biswa Sarma

BJP top strategist and Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is in Manipur where he attended the flag hoisting ceremony of Thongam Biswajit Singh, the BJP candidate of Thongju

BJP top strategist and Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is in Manipur where he attended the flag hoisting ceremony of Thongam Biswajit Singh, the BJP candidate of Thongju constituency at Imphal East.

Also present at the meeting were Manipur BJP Chief A. Sharda Devi, Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton, Nagaland BJP chief Temjen Imna Along and BTAD chief Pramod Boro among others.

Addressing the meet Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the gathering where he asserted that BJP would garner from 40 to 50 seats and would alone form the government in Manipur.

Dr. Sarma said that the coming of the BJP government was instrumental in lifting the economic blockade in Manipur.  He also spoke about the boost to rail and road connectivity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government.

After adressing the meeting the Assam Chief Minister reached the Imphal Airport to receive Union Home Minister Amit Shah who reached Manipur to adress public meetings in Churachandpur and Kangpokpi
