The authorities concerned have released the data of water levels of Rivers Siang and Brahmaputra in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

According to the latest data made available, the Siang river is showing a rising trend in places such as Tezu, Khowang and Namsai. However, it is yet to touch the danger level mark in these areas.

On the other hand, the water levels of Brahmaputra in Assam is showing a steady trend in Dibrugarh, Dholla and Naharkatia. These are the latest trends that have been recorded today at 6 in the morning.

The Army too has been put on standby in Assam’s Dibrugarh district. The Army since early this morning conducted recce at the Brahmaputra river.

Locals in Arunachal Pradesh’s Pasighat have raised concern over the rising water levels of the Siang and Brahmaputra river.

Meanwhile, reacting to the developments in the Siang, Arunachal Pradesh Deputy chief minister Chowna Mein said as of now the situation is normal and under control.
