Assam’s Manohari Gold Tea breaks record, sells for Rs. 1.15 lakh a kg

Assam’s Manohari Gold Tea’ bought by R.K. Tea Sales for its client Café Nilofer of Hyderabad broke record to be sold at Rs. 1,15,000.00 per kg

Creating history once again, Assam’s Manohari Gold Tea’ broke all previous records and was sold for Rs. 1,15,000 a kg, in a private auction portal, Tea Inntech. The tea was bought by R.K. Tea Sales for its client Café Nilofer of Hyderabad and others.
Assam’s Manohari Gold Tea that comes from Dibrugarh held a series of world records for selling its teas at the highest auction price of Rs. 39,001, Rs. 50,000 , Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 99,999 a kilo for four consecutive years i.e. 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 at the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre.
But because there is a cap of Rs one lakh by Tea Board of India it had to sell its teas through private auction this year and was for a whopping Rs 1,15,000 per kilogram breaking all previous records of the tea Industry.
Manohari Gold Tea is made during the second flush with the finest clones, the P-126 which is said to be the best clone for making Tea in the World. The leaves are picked in the wee hours of the morning to prevent the sun from altering its distinct aroma and flavour. It looks like a 24 carat gold loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body and many other benefits.
