Sikkim’s Priansh Yajnik tops JEE Main from NE, 7 other from region excel in the exam

Priansh Yajnik from Sikkim topped the examination with an NTA score of 99.94.


Proud moment for the Northeastern region of India. As many as 8 candidates from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim are among the 53 state-wise toppers in Joint Entrance Examination (Main) Examination Session 1, results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday.

Priansh Yajnik from Sikkim topped the examination with an NTA score of 99.94.

The other state-wise toppers from Northeast are:

1.Vinnakota Sneha Naga Sanjana of Arunachal Pradesh scores 99.42,

2.Rohan Singh Leishangthem of Manipur scores 98.53

3.Abhijnan Saraswat Gogoi of Meghalaya scores 98.09

4.John Laldingliana of Mizoram scores 93.62

5.MD Siddek Ahmed Choudhury of Nagaland scores 98.87

6.Jyotishman Saikia of Assam scores 99.92

7.Antareep Ray of Tripura scores 99.82

The NTA has declared the results of the JEE (Main) Session 1 exam 2024 on Monday.

As per the NTA list, 53 candidates topped the Session 1 exam from different states of the country. A total of 23 candidates scored full scores in the examination.

Notably, the JEE (Main) Session 1 exam was conducted at 544 centers across 291 cities in 13 languages, including English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
