Assam’s first Coronavirus patient visited Hatigaon, Athgaon in Guwahati

The 52-year old man from Assam’s Karimganj district who has been tested positive for Coronavirus at Silchar Medical College and Hospital and reconfirmed at NIV, Pune stayed in Athgaon area
The 52-year old man from Assam’s Karimganj district who has been tested positive for Coronavirus at Silchar Medical College and Hospital and reconfirmed at NIV, Pune stayed in Athgaon area in Guwahati on his way to home from Delhi.
According to the reports, the person who is the first Coronavirus patient in the state went to Delhi on March 5 for Cancer treatment.
“He visited Jama Masjid and had contacts with the people there at Nizamuddin. The person flew back to Guwahati on March 10. He stayed with a family at Athgaon on March 11 and March 12.” said principal of Silchar Medical College and Hospital Babul Kumar Bezbaruah.
Before his departure to Badarpur by Rajdhani Express on March 13, the person reportedly took part in a religious event in Hatigaon area of Guwahati.
“He reached Badarpur on March 13. He is a diabetic patient. According to his son, the person is also suffering from Cancer. His condition is stable now,” said Bezbaruah.
