Thespian Adil Hussain is once again in the spotlight. Forbes has named him as one of the eight ‘Outstanding Actors’ of ‘Hindi Entertainment’ for the year 2021.

Hussain made the cut for his role in the Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom released this year.

The versatile actor from Assam was cast as the Chief of the Indian Intelligence agency which he played with “much elegance”.

Forbes lauded his performance for holding his own in a movie that has a star like Akshay Kumar playing the leading role.

“…it is not easy for non-central characters to grab attention. When the central character is essayed by Akshay Kumar, the task becomes tougher. Adil Hussain, however, makes that possible,” said the Forbes article.

Forbes further added, “His character walks a thin line and Hussain performs it with much elegance.” 

Along with Adil Hussain well known character actors from the Hindi film industry like Ashutosh Rana, Supriya Pathak, Abhishek Banerjee, Jimmy Shergill, Sikander Kher, Manav Kaul and Amruta Subhash are part of the list.
