Reema Das’ Village Rockstars has brought back the ‘Swarna Kamal’ to Assam after a long break of 3 decades. Village Rockstars was awarded the Best Feature film in the 65th National Awards.
Bagging four awards at the 65th National Film Awards today, Village Rockstars shone throughout the event. Another Assamese film titled ‘Ishu’, has bagged the ‘Rajat Kamal’ after being termed as the Best Assamese film of 2017.
On the other hand, a Manipuri book, ‘Matmagi Manipur:The First Manipur Feature Film’ also received the national award in the ‘best book on cinema’ category in the 65th National Film Awards. We have more in this report.
