Amit Roy secured 90% with letter marks in 5 subjects in the recently declared Higher Secondary School exams.
Financial hardship cannot prevent people from pursuing their aspirations. This has been proved by Amit Roy, the son of a vegetable vendor from Silchar.
Amit Roy secured 90% with letter marks in 5 subjects in the recently announced Higher Secondary exams.
Amit’s father works as a vegetable vendor in Rongpur area of Silchar town and his mother works as a house-help.
Though his family wanted him to help provide for the family, Amit had different dreams.
His love for education and dedication towards fulfilling his dreams brought him success this year in the Higher Secondary Examination.
Amit aims to become an English Professor.
Expressing his gratitude towards his parents, he said that at times, situation at home gets hard, but his parents encouraged him to carry on with his studies.
