State Trinamool Congress president Dipen Pathak has resigned from all posts of the party in protest against the stand taken against the NRC by parry supremo Mamata Banerjee.
Significantly, Pathak, who was also a member of the legislative assembly earlier, is known to be a close confidante of TMC supremo as far as the affairs in the northeast is concerned. So this can be seen as a big blow to the TMC not only in Assam but the entire northeast.
