Assam: Second student who consumed poison because of alleged mental harassment by teachers, dies

On December 13, three students from Salbari village of Baksa district in Assam consumed poison as they could no longer bear the alleged mental harassment from teachers
The second student from Salbari village of Baksa district in Assam who consumed poison because of alleged mental harassment by teachers, passed away today.
Twelve days ago, 3 students from the village consumed poison as they could no longer bear the alleged mental harassment from their teachers. One of the students passed away instantly while the other two were fighting for their lives. The third student is still in a serious condition. All of them were students of Class 7.
Parents of the students have demanded strict action against the school authorities.
An inconsolable father of the deceased student said, “My daughter passed away today at 2.55 a.m in the morning. My daughter said that teachers of the school were torturing them. They even threatened to expel the girls from the school.”
