The protest against mega dams in Northeast has reached New Delhi with the Assam Pradesh Youth Congress staging massive protests today.
Hundreds of youth congress members marched through the streets of national capital calling for stalling construction of the Lower Subansiri hydro-electric power project.
Chanting slogans against the BJP-led state government, demanding closure of the 2000 MegaWatt Hydropower Project.
However, police soon rushed to the spot and detained the protesters.
